A few things we’re great at

Spinal Works treat a range of musculoskeletal and joint issues. With each patient, we take a holistic approach to pave the way for pain-free living.

Back pain

Back pain is the leading cause of workplace disability in Australia. In the clinical evidence handbook, they also discuss how over 70% of people in developed countries suffer from back pain, of which 10% never return to work.

At Spinal Works, we treat lower, mid, and upper back pain. We see patients with what feels like purely spinal and joint issues alongside patients who are experiencing severe tension in the back muscles. Lower back pain is usually associated with underlying nerve and muscle issues, and can feel like pins and needles, localised discomfort, or pain radiating down the leg – this can make walking, exercising, standing and even sitting uncomfortable. Mid and upper back pain are more closely related to overuse or postural issues. Pain in this area can radiate and affect the neck and shoulder region. For both lower and upper back pain, early chiropractic intervention is the key to successful treatment.

Neck Pain/Shoulder Pain

We all spend more time looking at devices than ever before. And our posture when doing so is almost always terrible – resulting in more complaints of neck pain. Neck pain can be caused by poor posture, but can also be the result of an injury or poor sleeping environments. Neck pain can lead to shoulder pain, tension headaches, and in severe cases, migraines. The severity ranges from a dull, intermittent ache to a strong, persistent stiffness.

Neck pain can be debilitating – but it doesn’t have to stop you from doing what you love. At Spinal Works, we treat neck pain by managing the root of the cause, eliminating pain early on, and providing long-term relief and management strategies.

Headaches

From muscle tension to TMJ issues, headaches can have various underlying causes. We focus on addressing the root cause rather than providing short-term solutions. During your initial consultation, we conduct a thorough assessment to pinpoint the issue and create a personalised plan for lasting relief.

Hip Pain/Sciatica

Clients frequently visit the Spinal Works clinic with hip pain and sciatica, which are often linked to pelvic misalignments. We’ve seen a rise in hip issues, particularly among athletes and individuals with repetitive twisting movements. Chiropractic care offers a gentle yet effective approach to relieve immediate pain by correcting pelvic and hip alignment, restoring normal movement and function.

Knee Pain

Knee pain can range from mildly uncomfortable, to severe and difficult to manage while walking and standing. Generally caused by either trauma to the knee joint or arthritis, chiropractic care for knee pain is all about understanding and assessing the lower body biomechanics. Spinal Works chiropractors will work to address the main cause of pain, while working to increase range of motion, flexibility, and strength to the knee and lower leg area.

How we do it

Eliminating Pain

Step one is to provide immediate advice and treatment for the symptoms and pain you’re experiencing today.

Your Circumstances

During our assessment, we’ll identify how this injury or pain is affecting your day-to-day life. Is it hindering your work? Affecting your sleep? Preventing you from exercise?

Address Root Cause

As you can probably tell, we’re all about finding the main source of the problem. The reason being is that we want to provide an effective solution that won’t have you coming back for more treatment in 6 or 12 months’ time.
